What’s with the name?

Cogitandi Libere (Google Translate) is Latin for Thinking Freely. I didn’t want to use Latin, but I gave up using English after trying 437 different possible names at WordPress.com. I didn’t bother looking to see how many of those names had been created and abandoned although it could have been fun. Or not.

Why am I doing this?

There’s a big misconception about who God is, and while I’m certainly no expert, I know enough that I find a lot of these misconceptions offensive. Why should I be offended when someone wrongs God? The same reason I’m offended when someone says something wrong about my wife, my children, my family, and or friends. It makes me angry when people make false statements about people I care for and love.

I love God, and people say the most offensive, not to mention stupid, things about the Creator of the universe. Our King. Our LORD.

I call it these false images of God Caricatures.

What do I expect to get out of this?

I’m not in it for the money. I don’t advertise. I believe Google does. They get the money; I don’t. I don’t care. I’m not doing this to make money. I’m doing this to get the word out.

I’m not in it for the fame. I’d like this site to be a popular destination, but only because that means more people are hearing Truth; Truth that some might find hurtful, but it’s not offensive.

Why am I anonymous?

  1. Have you read the news? People who speak Truth lose their jobs. I have a family to take care of. I also have a message to get out. If I lose my job, I won’t be able to take care of my family, and I won’t be able to concentrate on this.
  2. They say people who are anonymous aren’t credible, but I don’t believe that. I think if you message is clear, and as honest as you can make it, you’ll earn credibility. Although I don’t know that I need it, I’ll say a little about myself. I have a B.A. in Christian studies: Old and New Testament, Church history, preaching, philosophy, etc. I don’t work in the Church although I do volunteer time. I have a background involving some electronics, automated machines, and I’m mechanically inclined. I’m good with computers. I’m a working professional with an intense interest in politics and culture, and a love for God and His Church. I am an expert at nothing, but knowledgeable about many things; the proverbial Jack-of-all-trades. I believe this gives me an advantage over the so-called experts in the world, which is this: instead of be focused on one particular area, I am able to see clearer how things affect each other. I believe God would call this discernment.
  3. Who I am is irrelevant. This blog is about God. It’s about His Truth. It’s about how His Truth affects mankind, and how His Truth applies to my world-view, i.e., my politics. Think of me as simply a voice crying in cyberspace.
